A$AP Rocky's Mother Speaks Out About Her Son Being Detained In Sweden

Apparently, Trump's call to Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven had no effect on the situation.

(AllHipHop News) Renee Black recently met with civil rights activist Al Sharpton's National Action Network about the organization helping to get her son, A$AP Rocky, out of a Swedish jail. Black is now speaking out directly.

In a video posted by TMZ, Black confirmed she has only been able to speak with Rocky just once since he was arrested on July 3. While A$AP's team has reportedly suggested the 30-year-old rapper will not claim racism is playing a part in his legal issues in the European country, his mother has a different view.

"I feel like Sweden is making an example out of our boy. It’s so unjust" said Black. "I don’t want to call the race card, but that’s what it’s looking like. If it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, then it's a duck."

American President Donald Trump offered to "personally vouch for [Rocky's] bail,” but bail is not an option for the New York City native. There have also been reports that Trump's involvement in the situation has not been effective.

"We're thinking that if the president himself got involved and contacted who he did - if that ain't help, what will help?" added Black. "It's like Sweden is saying, 'We don't care who you call. We gonna do what we do.'"
