A$AP Rocky's Swedish Lawyer Says Situation Is Grave As Rapper Plans To Testify
(AllHipHop News) A$AP Rocky's lawyer has weighed in on the rapper's fight for freedom in Sweden and he labeled the circumstances "grave."
"The situation is grave, and the accusations are not something he takes in a light way," the rapper's lawyer Slobodan Jovicic said.
"He’s under the pressure of what that means, but of course, on the other hand, the only thing he can do now is come to court and have his day and hope that his version will prevail," Jovicic continued.
A$AP Rocky and two friends pleaded not guilty to assault as their high-profile trial kicked off Tuesday over a fight on June 30.

"Ambassador O’Brien is traveling at the request of the White House."
The rapper says he acted in self-defense, while prosecutors say A$AP Rocky took it too far and hit a man in the head with a bottle during the fight.
Mustafa Jafari testified that he was coming back to meet a friend at a burger joint, which is why he was hanging around outside of the restaurant.
At some point, he was involved in a scuffle with A$AP Rocky's bodyguard, who was caught on camera hoisting the 19-year-old off the ground by his throat.
Mustafa Jafari said his headphones were broken in the first encounter, which was why he proceeded to follow A$AP Rocky and his entourage.
Eventually, a brawl broke out and Jafari said he was cracked over the head with a bottle, kicked, punched and beaten.
A$AP Rocky's lawyer Slobodan Jovicic said he re-examined the videos and said there's no way A$AP Rocky used a bottle because glass can be heard shattering in the background.
"I’m pretty sure that when we’re done we’re going to show that no bottle has been used, or not in the way that the prosecutor is claiming," Slobodan Jovicic said.
A$AP Rocky is facing up to two years in prison if he is convicted.
