(AllHipHop News) A$AP Rocky took the stand to testify in an attempt to prove he is innocent of assaulting a man in Stockholm, Sweden.
A$AP Rocky said he repeatedly pleaded with the men to leave him alone, but the pair continued to harass the rap star and his associates.
"We pleaded and we begged and we said, 'Look man, we don't want to fight y'all. We don't want any more problems. We don't want to go to jail. We don't want to fight y'all. Please stop following us,'" the rap star testified, adding he thought the men might be under the influence of drugs.
The rapper says he acted in self-defense during the skirmish on June 30 and said he did not know how to call the cops, so he returned his hotel to avoid any more problems.
"We had no clue where we were, we just knew we weren't close to the hotel. I was scared and we were in defense mode," A$AP Rocky said on the stand.
Earlier in the week, the 19-year-old who was assaulted claimed he was kicked and beaten, and then stabbed with a bottle.
Mustafa Jafari claims the beef was sparked when A$AP Rocky's bodyguard manhandled him and broke his headphones.
A$AP Rocky's lawyer Slobodan Jovicic maintains A$AP Rocky never used a weapon in the fight, and said the cuts on Jafari's arms could have come from shards of glass on the bottom of the rapper's sneakers after he stomped on Jafari's arm.
Closing statements are expected to start tomorrow (August 2).
