A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie's 'Hoodie SZN' Spends A Second Week At No. 1

Is the Bronx rhymer the new KONY?

(AllHipHop News) Not that long ago, Hip Hop fans were debating if Tekashi 6ix9ine was the current King of New York. 6ix9ine is currently behind bars awaiting trial for racketeering and firearm charges, and it appears another rap star from the Big Apple is ready to take the throne.

The Bronx's A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie has now spent two straight weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200. Hoodie SZN picked up another 56,000 equivalent album units in its fourth week of release, giving A Boogie back-to-back weekly crowns.

The rap-centered Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack rose to #2 this week. Former leader I Am > I Was by 21 Savage slips to #3. Post Malone’s beerbongs & bentleys (#4) and Meek Mill’s Championships (#5) round out the latest Top 5.

Hip Hop artists have led the Billboard 200 chart for eight straight weeks. Travis Scott's AstroWorld, Meek Mill's Championships, XXXTentacion's Skins, and Kodak Black's Dying to Live topped the Billboard 200 for the final four weeks of December 2018. I Am > I Was was the Number One album for the first two weeks in 2019.
