A Hip Hop Star Wins Season One Of Fox's 'The Masked Singer'

Spoiler alert for fans of the singing competition.

(AllHipHop News) The season one finale of The Masked Singer aired last night. Many viewers were shocked to find out the man behind the Monster costume was "Rappa Ternt Sanga" T-Pain. The King Of Auto-Tune was named the champion over runner-up Donny Osmond (Peacock).

"What an insane ride...truly one of the most humbling and amazing things I’ve ever done. Thanx to everybody...Ya’ll don’t know how much this means, I’m doing a lot of this right now 😭, overwhelmed & soaking it all in right now!!! Love to everybody who watched [The Masked Singer]," tweeted T-Pain.

The Masked Singer is based on South Korea's The King of Mask Singer. Twelve cloaked celebrities competed anonymously. On each episode, the panelists and live audience voted for the winner of a face-off performance. Fox has already renewed the program for a second season.

Nick Cannon serves as the host of the popular show. Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger were the permanent panelists. Besides T-Pain and Donny Osmond, other masked contestants included Gladys Knight, Joey Fatone, La Toya Jackson, Tommy Chong, and Antonio Brown.
