Albums By DJ Khaled, Tyga & Juice WRLD Make RIAA's Mid-Year Top Certified Tally

Lil Nas X and J. Cole have two of the top singles of the year, so far.

(AllHipHop News) In the first six months of 2019, only four albums have managed to earn either Platinum or Gold status from the Recording Industry Association of America. Three of those efforts were by Hip Hop artists.

DJ Khaled's Father of Asahd, Tyga's Legendary, and Juice WRLD's Death Race for Love were certified Gold by the RIAA. Ariana Grande's Thank U, Next was named the Top Awarded Album for being the lone Platinum LP of the year.

"Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X and "Middle Child" by J. Cole both crossed the 3X-Platinum mark. YK Osiris ("Worth It"), Juice WRLD ("Robbery"), Mustard & Migos ("Pure Water"), Yo Gotti ("Put A Date On It"), Cardi B & Bruno Mars ("Please Me"), Polo G & Lil Tjay ("Pop Out"), and DaBaby ("Suge") earned Platinum plaques.

Can't lie, when I first heard JuiceWorld I thought it was a spoof. No hate. I'm just used to real singing that is in key.
