(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj has scrapped her North American tour, NICKIHNDRXX, amid production woes, according to a press statement.
The LiveNation statement said, "Nicki has decided to contribute more time to rehearsal ahead of the tour’s launch to make certain her fans get the absolute best quality show that they deserve."
On top of that, Future, the other part of the venture, is no longer a part of the tour which was supposed to kick off in mere weeks. The new dates for North America are now reportedly for May of 2019, which conflict with other obligations for the Atlanta rapper.
"Due to scheduling conflicts Future will not be on the North American run," the press release reads. "Nicki Minaj will be announcing new North American dates to kick off in May 2019. Refunds for the previously scheduled North American dates will be available at point of purchase, with new Nicki Minaj on-sale details announced soon.”
Nicki has not commented, but the New York Post reported that ticket sales for NICKIHNDRXX were "in the toilet."
The report went on to say the following:
A Live Nation source told us, “Nicki’s tour could be the most disappointing ticket sales of the year for any artist. These are big arenas with up to 20,000 capacities. Sales for opening night in Baltimore is 2,000 tickets. LA is 3,400, New Orleans 1,000, Denver 1,300, Chicago 3,900. Even her hometown Brooklyn is only 5,050.”
