SmokePurpp Responds To Nicki Minaj Blaming Travis Scott For 'Queen' Album Sales

Is the "Barbie Dreams" emcee acting like a sore loser?

(AllHipHop News) Over the last several days, Nicki Minaj has used her Queen promo run to express her thoughts on Cardi B, Remy Ma, DJ Self, Safaree, Lady Gaga, Missy Elliott, DJ Akademiks, Kylie Jenner, and others. She even suggested that Travis Scott's AstroWorld beating her in the album sales race was crooked.

"Travis sold 200K in his first week of clothes alone. I spoke to him last night & he said hes been selling clothes b4 the music. Billboard says theyll change the rules cuz of this, so it should be changed now!" tweeted Nicki. "I put my blood sweat & tears in writing a dope album only for Travis Scott to have Kylie Jenner post a tour pass telling ppl to come see her & Stormi. lol. Im actually laughing."

Scott's Cactus Jack affiliate Smokepurpp responded to Nicki's comments. Akademiks recorded Purpp's Instagram video and posted it to Twitter. The "Do Not Disturb" rhymer stated, "Nicki Minaj, you bugging by saying Travis Scott is cheating because he's selling clothes and stuff. It's called marketing my n*gga... Don't hate on the next man."

Queen moved 185,000 first-week equivalent album units to open at #2 on the Billboard 200. AstroWorld edged out Nicki's fourth LP for the top spot with 205,000 second-week units.
