(AllHipHop News) Angie Martinez’s 2019 was a milestone year in the media personality’s career. The “Voice of New York” began producing and hosting the WE tv network’s Untold Stories Of Hip Hop series which presented interesting conversations with Snoop Dogg, Cardi B, A$AP Rocky, Maino, and more.
Unfortunately, this year also saw Martinez suffer a very traumatic experience. The radio legend revealed to her 1 million Twitter followers and her 850,000 Instagram followers that she was involved in a serious crash.
“I’ve always believed in angels and mine was with me the other morning,” reads a statement from the 48-year-old New Yorker. “I was in a severe car accident and sustained a fractured lumbar and shattered vertebrae. I’m recovering and will be for some time, but I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to do that,”
She continued, “Wanted you all to hear it from me first and know that although this is a difficult time, I am in the best spirits possible and determined to be back and better than ever soon! God bless and I deeply appreciate all love & prayers. ❤️.”
