Beer Drinkers Help Raise $300,000 For Chance The Rapper's SocialWorks Charity

Goose Island Brewery donated $300,000 to Chance The Rapper's charity for Chicago schools.

(AllHipHop News) Chance the Rapper's charity landed a six-figure donation earlier this week.

Local brewery Goose Island hosted a promotion where they donated a portion of every pint sold to Chance's non-profit SocialWorks.

Goose Island dropped a total $300,000 on Chance's non-profit, which will be added to the funds the rap star has raised to help the Chicago public school system and other projects the SocialWorks is backing.

"Chance has, just like a lot of the partners here, done a lot for the city of Chicago. And we're very proud of the city and what you've done and what's coming forward," said Todd Ahsmann, president of Goose Island Beer.

Social Works’ mission is to empower Chicago youth through the arts, education, and civic engagement.

Over the past year, 20 local public schools have received $2.2 million in donations from the "New Chance Fund," which raises money for arts education.
