(AllHipHop News) Kanye West’s new album Ye clocks in at only seven tracks, with total run time less than 30 minutes long, yet accusations of uncleared samples have surfaced.

Taking to Twitter the day of the project’s release, Berlin-based label Pan shared their thoughts on the intro track, “I Thought About Killing You.”

The tweet states, “Kanye samples mono no aware smh.”

According to the head of the label, Bill Kouligas, Kanye did not clear the sample before using it.

The song samples a track titled Fr3sh” by Kareem Lotfy from mono no aware, a compilation album put out by Pan last year.

“It’s sadly another case of an artist who capitalizes on culture without any original ideas and because culture trickles up, this means we are all basically working for him. Everything leads to him, he’s the ultimate narcissist," Kouligas stated.
