(AllHipHop News) Global superstar Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has not released an official solo studio LP since 2016's Lemonade. However, the Houston-bred vocalist is still making huge marks on the album chart in 2019.
Beyoncé curated and executive produced The Lion King: The Gift. The collection - which features contributions from Jay-Z, Childish Gambino, Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar, Tierra Whack, and more - debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200.
With that chart opening, generated by 54,000 first-week units, the Grammy winner has now managed to score three Top 10 projects in 2019. Homecoming: The Live Album debuted at #4 in May. Lemonade, a former Number One, returned to the Top 10 region that same week in May (#9).
The Lion King: The Gift is a musical companion piece to Disney's photorealistic animated remake of The Lion King. Additionally, Knowles-Carter performed the voice of Nala in the movie. The cast also includes Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Billy Eichner, Chiwetel Ejiofor, John Oliver, and James Earl Jones.
