Beyoncé's New Album Predicted To Sell Over 550,000 Copies
(AllHipHop News) Without any promotion, radio singles, or media coverage Beyoncé's new self-titled album is about to have one of the best opening sales week of 2013. Billboard reports that BEYONCÉ is headed to first week numbers over 550,000 units. That total will be enough to give the singer her 5th solo number 1 album.
Industry sources say the iTunes exclusive project could reach up to 600,000 copies when the final numbers come out. The fact that Beyoncé may have the highest first week sales of her career with this project is even more impressive because she only had three days to do it. The surprise album was released on a Friday as opposed to the traditional Tuesday drop day.
A 550,000 opening week for Beyoncé would top other big debuts this year by One Direction (546,000), Luke Bryan (528,000), Kanye West (327,000), Daft Punk (339,000) and her husband Jay Z (528,000).
