(AllHipHop News) The transition from aspiring artist to signed rap star most often comes with a change in finances. Rapper/producer Big K.R.I.T sat down with DJ Smallz Eyes to talk money, and the creator of the critically acclaimed album Cadillactica shares two of his memorable monetary moments.
"I spent my first big paycheck on an iMac," said K.R.I.T.
Smallz Eyes asked the Mississippi native to reveal his worst financial decision. K.R.I.T. began by saying his answer is not the worst judgement of his life, but he admits going on Wiz Khalifa's "Wake & Bake Tour" did affect his bottom line.
"It wasn't a bad decision. It was a promo decision," the Def Jam artist stated. "I pretty much ended up spending most of what I made from the first deal doing that tour - between hotel rooms, merchandise, promoting myself. But it was necessary. You got to invest in your career. Especially when nobody else will."
