Big Sean Giving Back To Detroit With "D.O.N. Weekend"

Big Sean continues to give back to the city of Detroit.

(AllHipHop News) Big Sean continues to show love to his hometown of Detroit, and this time he's doing it with a four-day Festival.

The rap star will oversee  "D.O.N. Weekend" which stands for "Detroit's On Now."

The four-day weekend is being presented by the rapper's Sean Anderson Foundation.

A number of events are designed to raise money for various institutions and nonprofits throughout the city.

D.O.N. Weekend" kicks off on June 21st with a benefit for the Motown Museum at the legendary 2648 W. Grand Blvd. location where Berry Gordy launched the label.

Other events include a block party, freestyle cypher and a $25,000 fashion competition sponsored by Puma.

The new initiative is the latest power moves Big Sean has made in his hometown of Detroit this year.

The rapper announced he was opening a luxury movie theater and concert venue in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan.

He is also planning a new film production company named Great Lakes Pictures.
