(AllHipHop News) Big Sean recently unleashed his new single and visual for “Single Again,” highlighting the importance in loving yourself above all else.
Now, the Detroit native announces he will be hosting a mental health panel at the 2nd annual D.O.N. weekend, presented by Ally to celebrate the Detroit community.
This year’s D.O.N. Weekend will take place on August 17 and 18, presented by the Sean Anderson Foundation.
The foundations “Detroit Block Party” and City Council President Pro Tem Mary Sheffield’s “Occupy the Corner-Detroit” will be partnering up with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan to throw this event which is free and open to all ages.
The weekend will celebrate families, entrepreneurs, teachers and long-standing institutions who hold up the city of Detroit as a whole. Saturday will feature the unveiling of a new studio built inside the Dauch Campus Boys and Girls Club.
Attendees can look forward to free food, a live DJ, live performances, free haircuts and braiding, health screenings, felony expungement, carnival rides, games, and much more.
Come Sunday, Sean Don will be hosting a meaningful Mental Health Awareness Discussion alongside Dr. Jessica Clemons, Dr. Michael Eric Dyson moderated by President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan Shawn H. Wilson.
The panel will touch on the narrative and stigma surrounding mental health in the black community.
Closing out the weekend will be an exciting bowling party, providing good old fashion fun to all those who need it.
