Big Sean To Make Acting Debut In Lena Waithe's 'Twenties' Series On BET

The dramedy is expected to hit television screens in 2020.

(AllHipHop News) After dropping the new tracks "Overtime" and "Single Again," Big Sean's followers felt a new album was on the way. A project tentatively titled Don Life should land on the internet in the near future.

Meanwhile, Sean Don has confirmed he is trying his hand at another art form. The 31-year-old entertainer joined the cast of BET’s upcoming series Twenties which is being produced by Emmy winner Lena Waithe.

"Music is definitely my first passion. It was just something that I've always done on the side. I was doing Shakespeare plays before I was rapping," Sean told Billboard. "My mom was an actress at heart, so she always kept me into that [when I was younger]. It is something that I feel I have a natural talent for, so it's cool — Lena gave me my first chance at an acting debut."

Big Sean also admitted he does not have a specific release date for his next body of work, but the Roc Nation affiliate would like to get back in front of a camera again. He said, "I hope I get to act more. I think it's just fun, just like I think playing basketball is fun. I ain't trying to go to the NBA, but I be hooping."
