Blac Chyna Talks Her Music Career Being Taken Seriously & Her Collaborators Wishlist

Are you ready to hear the former stripper/reality TV star rap?

(AllHipHop News) Yes, it’s actually happening. Former exotic dancer Blac Chyna is pursuing a recording career. The woman born Angela White sat down with XXL to discuss her transformation into a rapper.

“When I do drop my music, I just don’t want it to be ‘Okay, Chyna’s taking this for granted’ or ‘She’s not serious about this.’ I want people to know I am serious,” said the Washington, DC native. “I want to show my progression and my growth.”

When asked which artists she’d like to collaborate with on songs, Chyna named Rihanna, Migos, French Montana, Trey Songz, and Gwen Stefani. The model/entrepreneur/reality star also listed Jennifer Lopez, Spice Girls, Linkin Park, Lil Wayne, Drake, DMX, and Jay-Z as some of her favorite acts.

Blac Chyna is likely to drop an official single before the end of the year. A snippet of her rapping leaked online earlier this month.

“My fears going into this would be for people not to take me serious. I feel like that’s like the normal human thing,” added Blac. “Of course, people are going to talk - good, bad, and whatnot. I just want to let the music speak for itself.”
