'Black Panther' Wins "Outstanding Performance By A Cast" At 2019 SAG Awards

The blockbuster racked up numerous nominations this awards season.

(AllHipHop News) Black Panther just got a huge boost going into the 91st Academy Awards. The Marvel superhero masterpiece won a big honor at the 25th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

SAG voters chose Black Panther as the winner for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. Director Ryan Coogler's film beat out BlacKkKlansman, Bohemian Rhapsody, Crazy Rich Asians, and A Star Is Born.

Black Panther also won Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture at the SAG Awards. The movie is up for seven Academy Awards including Best Picture.

In addition, Black Panther: The Album earned several Grammy nominations. The soundtrack - curated by TDE emcee Kendrick Lamar - is competing for Album Of The Year.

Lamar and SZA's "All The Stars" was listed in the Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, and Best Song Written for Visual Media categories. The single also earned a nod for Best Song at the Oscars.
