Unreleased songs from sessions for the 2007 classic project are now part of a new LP.

(AllHipHop News) The phrase "underground classic" is definitely fitting for Below the Heavens. Blu & Exile's debut album did not make a huge mark on the mainstream charts, but the LP is highly regarded by many Hip Hop aficionados.

It's been a decade since Below the Heavens spread across internet blogs. In celebration of the project's 10-year anniversary, Blu & Exile released In The Beginning: Before The Heavens with both previously heard songs and unreleased tracks from the Before the Heavens sessions.

Below the Heavens was about being underground, while comparing mainstream success to living in heaven,” said Blu in an interview with Billboard. “This is before that. The only thing that happened before God made the heavens and Earth [is God] says, ‘In The Beginning,’ so this is like the training wheels.”

The original BTH featured a couple of then relatively unknown future stars named Aloe Blacc and Miguel. Blacc again appears on In The Beginning, along with other Dirty Science crew members.
