Bobby Brown Not Impressed By Chris Rock's Distasteful Whitney Houston Joke

Bobby wasn't feeling a wisecrack Chris made on Instagram.

(AllHipHop News) Bobby Brown has slammed "family friend" Chris Rock for making a distasteful joke about the late Whitney Houston's struggle with drug addiction.

The comedian hit headlines over the weekend when he shared a meme which showed an image of an unenthusiastic Whitney alongside the words: "Me sitting in a meeting that could've been an email."

Taking the joke one step further, Chris added: "Hurry up I got crack to smoke."

Whitney accidentally drowned in the bathtub of her Beverly Hills hotel suite after taking a lethal cocktail mix of cocaine, marijuana and prescription medication in 2012.

She was aged 48.

Among those hitting back at Chris following the meme, which he later deleted, was Bobby - who was married to Whitney between 1992 to 2007.

Screenshots of his response, obtained by Yahoo, showed that Bobby responded: "I thought you was a friend of the family."

He also commented: "During this time of women empowerment you chose to use your time to try and humiliate our QUEEN!!!"

Others to slam Chris for the meme included TV producer Elgin Charles, who tweeted: "I was already disappointed in Chris Rock (who I've known for years) for finding humor in Louis C.K. & Ricky Gervais' use of the N-word. Now he's making fun of my dearly departed friend, Whitney Houston, on IG (Instagram). Addiction is NOT a laughing matter."
