(AllHipHop News) Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda says New York City police are out to get him. The "Hot N***a" performer was arrested recently for smoking weed with two friends while double parked, but Shmurda feels the cops are on a mission to destroy his career.
Sources tell TMZ that Bobby believes the NYPD is targeting him because he is a famous entertainer. The 20-year-old rapper was also arrested earlier this year in the city on a felony gun possession charge. He could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
The discussion about "Hip Hop Cops" that are allegedly assigned to track and investigate rap artists has been a part of the culture for years. Recent reports suggest Drake, Chris Brown, French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, Jeezy, Lil Wayne, and others are being followed by NYC police for their affiliation with Hip Hop.
Shmurda addressed his arrest in an Instagram video posted on October 3. The clip included the caption, "So da bum ass cops locked me up yesterday Fa some bulls**t made me miss."
