(AllHipHop News) Rapper Boosie Badazz has launched a countersuit against a mall security guard who accused him of assault and battery last year.
The hip-hop star was pepper sprayed by Glen Kerley, who was working a shift at Dillard's department store inside Edgewater Mall in Biloxi, Mississippi, after he and his friends allegedly became combative while being escorted out of the shopping mecca.
Kerley sued the rapper, real name Torrence Hatch, in April for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, civil conspiracy and negligence, and he is seeking unspecified damages.
Boosie has now launched his own lawsuit, claiming Kerley had no reason to sue him.
The rapper also alleges he has lost income over Kerley's allegations and accuses him of making false claims.
Boosie previously filed a lawsuit against Dillard's department store bosses, the Edgewater Mall and the Biloxi Police Department over the incident, claiming racial slurs were thrown at him and he was pepper sprayed by a law enforcement officer.
In their response, representatives for the city of Biloxi revealed that he had been charged in May, 2017 for simple assault and disorderly conduct, and was subsequently arrested in December.
