Brockhampton Earns First No. 1 Album On Billboard 200 Chart With 'Iridescence'

The group joins Drake, Eminem, Cardi B, J. Cole, Travis Scott, XXXTentacion, and other rap acts to have a No. 1 in 2018.

(AllHipHop News) The multi-member Hip Hop "boy band" Brockhampton debuts at #1 on the Billboard 200 album chart this week. Iridescence collected 101,000 first-week equivalent album units.

79,000 of those units came from traditional album sales. The LP was available for purchase through merchandise/album bundles sold on Brockhampton’s website.

Iridescence is the Kevin Abstract-led group's first chart topper. This was Brockhampton's first full-length release via RCA Records.

Previously, the California-based collective built a buzz by dropping Saturation, Saturation II, and Saturation III. Each of those studio albums came out on Empire Recordings.
