(AllHipHop News) The self-described “regular, degular, shmegular” girl from The Bronx was literally turned into a piece of art for the Brooklyn Museum. Cardi B revealed the creation of the life-sized sculpture to her 43 million Instagram followers.
“If you’re in the New York area make sure you check out my statue in the Brooklyn Museum!!!! Thank you rap caviar this is amazing!!! April 3rd - 7th! Make sure ya take pics and tag me,” wrote Cardi on IG.
Besides the “Please Me” rapper, Jaden Smith, Juice WRLD and Gunna are also new honorees of the Spotify RapCaviar Pantheon. The streaming service’s popular playlist is celebrating the four performers for their impact on Hip Hop.
“Spotify is committed to supporting young, innovative artists who also have a positive impact on the music industry, culture, and society,” said Carl Chery, Spotify’s Hip-Hop curator and Head of RapCaviar. “These four bold and fearless artists are striving to make changes with their music, and we’re thrilled to induct them into the program.”
Creative Director Ibra Ake consulted on the project and directed the corresponding films. The inaugural Spotify RapCaviar Pantheon featured statues of 21 Savage, SZA, and Metro Boomin.
