Bun B Plans Houston Benefit Concert For Hurricane Harvey Relief

The Texas emcee is working with music manager Scooter Braun for the upcoming TV event.

(AllHipHop News) Bernard "Bun B" Freeman is reportedly teaming with music manager Scooter Braun (Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande) for a benefit concert to help people affected by Hurricane Harvey.

According to Billboard, Braun and the UGK rapper are putting together a televised event on September 12.

Bun B's hometown of Port Arthur, Texas was one of the areas badly flooded. The city's mayor posted a Facebook message about the distressing situation.

"Our whole city is underwater right now but we are coming! If you called, we are coming. Please get to higher ground if you can, but please try [to] stay out of attics," wrote Mayor Derrick Freeman on August 29.

Scooter Braun previously produced the Grande-led One Love Manchester benefit show in England following a May terrorist attack.

The 36-year-old native New Yorker is said to be "actively working on gathering talent and organizing logistics" for the Houston event.
