Bun B & Scooter Braun’s 'Hand in Hand' Hurricane Relief Telethon Raises Over $55 Million

Over 100 celebrities participated in the televised benefit event for people affected by the recent storms.

(AllHipHop News) An updated accounting of the funds raised during the Hand in Hand: A Benefit for Hurricane Relief telethon surpasses previous totals. The Bun B and Scooter Braun organized TV event brought in more than $55 million.

Beyoncé, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Will Smith, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Oprah Winfrey, Taraji P. Henson, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Justin Timberlake, Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, and other celebrities appeared on the September 12 broadcast.

“With so much devastation and other natural disasters on the horizon there is still so much more to do. Proud of everyone who worked with us and supported. Officially over $55 million raised. Thank you. Let's keep going,” wrote Braun on Instagram.

Donations to benefit people affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma can still be submitted at handinhand2017.com.
