Busta Rhymes On T.I. Turning Down ‘Verzuz’ Battle: You Officially Ran From This Ass Beatin’

Tip hints that he’s close to finalizing a faceoff with Jeezy.

Busta Rhymes is still looking to go head-to-head against T.I. for a Verzuz battle. After T.I. basically ruled out that possibility because he feels the generational gap is too large between the two Hip Hop artists, Busta is now calling out The L.I.B.R.A. rapper once again.

The 48-year-old emcee returned to Instagram to address Tip. Busta wrote on IG, “My response to The King of the South @troubleman31. It’s ok to say it King [rolling on the floor laughing emojis]. YOU OFFICIALLY RAN FROM THIS ASS BEATIN’ KING!! But I still love you my brother!! IT’S THE KING!! [face with tears of joy emojis].”

While the Busta Rhymes battle might be a longshot to happen, T.I. previously made it clear he is interested in going against New York City’s 50 Cent in a Verzuz. Plus, T.I. is facing a Verzuz challenge from fellow Atlanta rap legend Jeezy. The two Trap music pioneers have exchanged friendly jabs on social media over a potential Verzuz hits-for-hits showcase.

Apparently, the Hustle Gang leader is still open to the idea of facing Jeezy. Early this morning, T.I. posted a subtle message on Instagram that seemed to suggest that an all-ATL matchup was in the works. He tagged @verzuztv and wrote in the caption, “I can’t F##### WAIT!!” along with a crown emoji representing his King of the South moniker and a snowman emoji representing Jeezy.
