Cardi B Addresses "Bad" Publicity From NYFW Fight With Nicki Minaj

"Am I ever embarrassed about anything that I do? No."

(AllHipHop News) The Cardi B versus Nicki Minaj feud was one of the most talked about Hip Hop stories of 2018. Cardi appeared on CBS News Sunday Morning, and she was asked about the highly publicized fight with Nicki at a New York Fashion Week event.

"It's unnecessary. But am I ever embarrassed about anything that I do? No," responded Cardi when questioned by CBS correspondent Maurice DuBois about the shoe-throwing incident.

She added, "I think it's bad for business. A lot of people like to say, 'All publicity is good publicity.' To me, it's not. Because that takes away of people paying attention to your craft. It makes people not even care about your craft. They just want to see drama."

There was speculation that the violent outburst at the Harper's Bazaar ICONS party would hurt the rap newcomer's career. Since that altercation with Nicki, Cardi has racked up numerous industry accolades such as being named an "Entertainer of the Year" by EW, earning Top New Artist honor from Billboard, and garnering five Grammy nominations.

NYFW was the first-time Nicki Minaj and Cardi B clashed face-to-face in public. The "Motorsport" collaborators also engaged in an hours-long back-and-forth on social media before calling a truce in October.
