(AllHipHop News) 2017 was Cardi B's breakout year as a music act. The Bronx newcomer earned her first #1 single and garnered two Grammy nominations. It looks like Belcalis' 2018 has already surpassed last year's achievements.
Cardi posted on her Instagram page that she is the only artist in 2018 to have three songs sell over 500,000 pure copies in the United States. "I Like It" with Bad Bunny & J Balvin reached the top of the Hot 100 chart. Her guest features on Bruno Mars' "Finesse" and Maroon 5's "Girls Like You" gave Cardi two more Top 3 records for the year.
In addition, Cardi B won two 2018 BET Awards, two 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards, and a 2018 Billboard Music Award. She's also going into the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards with the most nominations.
Cardi's Invasion of Privacy album opened at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart in April. The project hosts "Bodak Yellow" (6x Platinum), "Bartier Cardi" (2x Platinum), "Be Careful" (Platinum), and "I Like It" (Platinum).
