It looks like the New Yorker is not buying the cops' excuse.

(AllHipHop News) Not long after Cardi B slammed the New York Police Department for supposedly shutting down her friend Star Brim's Back To School Drive, she returned to Instagram to address the police again. Cardi accused the cops of stopping her own giveaway.

Apparently, the "Money" rapper teamed with fellow Bronx native A Boogie wit da Hoodie and her sister Hennessy Carolina to host a back-to-school event in the Highbridge neighborhood of New York City. The "Gangsta Giveaway" was scheduled for August 21.

Cardi stated in a now-deleted IG video:

Unfortunately, it got canceled. The NYPD decided to shut it down, supposedly due to safety issues/safety concerns which I don't understand. This week I went to two different hoods, I went to two different projects and everybody was out. It was no smoke, there were no issues, there was no beef. It was straight positive vibes only. So I don't understand how this, today, would be an issue. You wanna know something? I'm not even gonna say how I feel because it always comes back to bite me in the ass. I'm just gonna go with what they say, so whatever. I'm so sorry guys. We have thousands of school supplies, me and A Boogie. We made sure that today we were free. We had so much activities and I'm sorry. Don't blame me. Y'all already know what's up.
