"I wanted spicy Latina and she gave me poor mans nicki," wrote Banks in one of the now-deleted tweets. She also criticized "Charlemagne and black men in hip hop" for supposedly showing more support for Cardi than "black" female rappers like herself, Remy Ma, and Nicki Minaj.
It should be noted that Minaj is of Trinidadian descent. Cardi has a Trinidadian mother and a Dominican father.
After Banks' twitter rant made headlines, Cardi B fired back with her own tweet. The 24-year-old Bronx native posted a video of Azealia dancing and rapping the words to "Bodak Yellow."
"One of the reasons Bodak Yellow went #1 cuz even the HATERS LOVE IT !!," Cardi tweeted with the clip.
