Cardi B Explains How She And Offset Plan To Raise Baby Kulture
Cardi B talks about her vision for her newborn baby's future.
(AllHipHop News) Cardi B is terrified to leave daughter Kulture for too long, because she doesn't want her to forget her.
The rap star gave birth to the tot, her first child with Migos star husband Offset, in July.
Since then, Cardi has been trying to balance her work and personal lives, and has taken on various work commitments, but admits in an interview with People en Espanol that she won't commit to anything that will take her away from her daughter for too long.
"I don’t want to miss nothing from my baby,” she said. "I read that babies forget people so quick; I don’t want her to forget me. I don’t want her thinking that somebody else is her mom; I want her to love me as her mom."
Cardi's fear about her daughter forgetting her led to her pulling out of Bruno Mars' 24K Magic World Tour.
But the rapper insists she doesn't feel bad about her decision, because she couldn't handle the idea of a nanny looking after baby Kulture.
"I want to be the one that when she cries, I’m the one that stops her from crying. Seriously,” she explained. "Being a week away, it would just drive me insane.”
When it comes to raising Kulture, Cardi is determined that her child will stay humble - despite her parents being two of the hottest music stars in the industry right now. However, that's not to say Kulture will want for anything.
"She’s gonna be raised in a big mansion," Cardi said. "She’s most likely gonna get whatever she wants from me and her dad, but I also want her to be humble.
“So, yes, I will be taking her to her cousin's, her grandmother’s house, and I would like her to see how the people in my community live. I would like for her to be humble, for her to want to share, for her not to be snobby."
