However, the former reality show star has also faced criticism over the song borrowing the flow from Kodak Black's "No Flockin."
The 24-year-old New Yorker addressed her detractors during a recent performance by declaring she will "body" other rappers flows as well.
Cardi told the crowd:
And for anybody that telling me, "Oh b-tch, you copied Kodak's flow, you copied this and that flow" - So what b-tch? So what? I'm gonna sound like all your favorite rappers. I'm gonna take all they flows, and I'm gonna body it b-tch. One day I'm gonna sound like Kodak, the next day I'm gonna sound like Meek Mill, the next day I'ma sound like Migos. I don't give a f-ck."
In addition, Cardi B informed the audience that she plans to drop a freestyle on her birthday which is October 11.
Previously, the Atlantic Records artist announced her debut studio album would arrive this month before revealing she's hesitant about the project being let loose.
"I want it to drop next month. Every single time I be like, 'I think I got all of the ten songs.' It's like, 'No, I'm bugging. These ain't it," said Cardi in a September interview with The Breakfast Club. "It's because it's like, 'Damn, I'm competing with myself."
