(AllHipHop News) Word got out that Netflix is producing a new Hip Hop competition series titled Rhythm + Flow. Chance The Rapper, T.I., and Cardi B were selected as judges for the show.
Apparently, some people took issue with Cardi being chosen for the gig. The "Money" performer fired back at her critics in a video posted to Instagram.
"I'm looking for the diamond in the rough. I'm looking for somebody that's gonna stick. I'm looking for somebody that when I go to my car, I'm gonna remember their music, I'm gonna remember their face, I'm gonna remember their personality," said Cardi. "A lot of people can spit, but they can't make music and they can't stick to the GP. That's why people don't listen to their music because they just don't have that 'it' factor."
She continued, "I'm looking for that 'it' factor. And I don't give a f*ck if you don't think I'm qualified as a judge. B*tch, I make good f*cking music. You know my name and you know my motherf*cking records. I make hits, hits, hits, hits, hits, hits, hits."
Since arriving on the mainstream music scene a year ago, Cardi B has racked up six Top 10 entries on the Billboard Hot 100. The 26-year-old New Yorker is the only female rapper in history to have more than one #1 record on the chart with three Number Ones.
Netflix's Rhythm + Flow featuring Cardi B, Chance The Rapper, and T.I. is scheduled to debut on the streaming service in 2019. To audition for the series visit rhythmandflowauditions.com. The program joins other Hip Hop related content such as The Get Down, Luke Cage, Rapture, Hip-Hop Evolution, and a CG-animated film about Wyclef Jean's childhood.
