Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” Becomes First Song By A Solo Female Act To Reach Hot 100’s Top 3 In 2017

The summer smash record by the Bronx rapper hits its highest peak on the chart so far.

(AllHipHop News) “Bodak Yellow” does not seem to be slowing down. After the record reached the Hot 100’s Top 10 a week ago, Cardi B’s breakout smash hits a new peak of #3 this week.

“NUMBER 3 on the HOT 100 GOD IS GOOD,” stated Cardi on Instagram. “Thank you everybody. It’s all cause of you.”

With that new chart pinnacle, Cardi becomes the first solo female artist to break into the Top 3 on the Hot 100 in 2017. The last woman to achieve that feat was Meghan Trainor in April 2016 when "No" hit #3.

The Rihanna and Bryson Tiller assisted “Wild Thoughts" by DJ Khaled holds onto the #2 position for the sixth straight week. Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito” featuring Justin Bieber maintains its chart topping spot for the 15th week.
