(AllHipHop News) Cardi B is attempting to make sure her presence continues to be felt. She dropped her "Money" single, this week. The record skyrocketed to #2 on the iTunes chart and became the #1 trending video on YouTube.
Ebro Darden had a FaceTime conversation with Cardi for his Beats 1 show on Apple Music. The self-described "Empress of New York" spoke on several topics including how Nicki Minaj's fans allegedly were involved in her latest record being circulated around the internet before its official release.
“This happens all the time. When you give it to streaming services, it might go to a freaking different country. Somebody from there leaked it. People don’t like you, so they’re gonna keep spreading it," explained Cardi when asked about the Barbz. "It was literally the people who hate me who posted it. My fans were like, ‘Please, don’t post it.'"
Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have been engaged in a very public feud. There were reports that Cardi was planning to diss Nicki in an upcoming song. The Bronx-bred entertainer talked about that speculation on Beats 1.
“The way that I came up, it was never about dissing nobody, and I still feel like I don’t need to diss anybody for nothing. My music was never about that. I'm not the type of person to do things on wax. That's not me." Cardi stated. "I have a short temper, so that’s like doing things that I don’t stand for. I don’t like when people be subbing me. So why would I sub you on music? And any problem that I have, I always address people face-to-face."
Another rumor about Cardi B also made its way to the web. There was speculation the Hip Hop neophyte collaborated with global icon Beyoncé, but Cardi denied the two stars have connected for a song. She told Ebro, “Let’s put that into the universe.”
