Cardi B Talks Wanting To Drop Her Sophomore Studio Album In 2019

Can Cardi continue her reign over pop culture for another calendar year?

(AllHipHop News) "Dropped two mixtapes in six months, what b*tch working as hard as me?" rapped Cardi B on her 2017 breakout hit "Bodak Yellow." It looks like the Bardi Gang leader is planning to drop two LPs in twelve months.

Cardi spoke to her followers on Tuesday via Instagram Live. The Bronx representative revealed she's hoping to have her next full collection done by April.

"Of course, it's going to be an album in 2019. Hopefully, I can get my album done around the same time that Invasion of Privacy came out," said Cardi. "I don't know how possible that's going to be because I feel like I'm going to be extremely, extremely busy."

Invasion of Privacy hit streaming services on April 5, 2018. The album was instantly certified gold and went on to reach double-platinum status. All thirteen tracks on the set have earned Gold, Platinum, or Multi-Platinum awards.

Cardi's first studio LP was also nominated for Best Rap Album and Album Of The Year at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards. There have been reports that she may come back with a deluxe version of IOP later this month.
