(AllHipHop News) Cardi B is a global phenomenon, beyond just being a rapper.
With 55.1 million followers on Instagram alone, everything and anything she says will be held against her.
During a recent trip to Lagos, Nigeria to perform at the Livespot X Festival, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper did not hesitate and sharing her first thoughts about the country.
Posting a clip to her Instagram story after arriving overseas on December 5th, she states, “Yerrr we are in motherfucking Nigeria! No lies, this looks like the Dominican Republic. This looks like DR, straight up.”
She continued to update fans about her trip via social media.
The Grammy-award winning recording artist was itching to get out of her luxurious hotel room, to explore the country and sample the cuisine.
“I don’t want to eat your food, I want to see the real Nigeria. I want to eat real Nigerian food. I want to eat all that fish, all that Jollof rice.”
Cardi arrived in a private jet, of course.
During the flight, she even twerked to an unreleased remix of Davido’s “Fall,” which she is featured on.
Upon arrival, the African superstar got on his own IG page with 14.1 million followers to greet and welcome her.
The caption reads “welcome home” with the African flag and tagging Cardi B.
Cardi's fans in Nigeria are also celebrating her arrival in the country.
