(AllHipHop News) Cardi B is putting her family ahead of a career.
The hit-making rapper announced tonight that she would be canceling her appearances on Bruno Mars's upcoming tour.
Cardi was supposed to hit the road with Bruno on the "24K Magic" tour starting in September, but she has put her responsibility to her new baby with Offset first.
"I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically," Cardi B explained. "I also thought that I would be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing."
Cardi is asking for fans to be understanding, even though they will miss her performing "Finesse," which was one of the year's biggest hits with Bruno.
Bruno was understanding of Cardi's decision in a special message to the rap star.
"Most important thing is you and your family's health," Bruno Mars wrote. "I know the fans will understand. You are absolutely doing the right thing. I know we'll share the same stage when the time is right. "
