(AllHipHop News) Chamillionaire and E-40 have earned reps as two of the more savvy businessmen, and now they are linking up to give a minority or woman-owned business owner a shot at earning some big money.
The two rappers have teamed up with investing platform Republic to award a minority and/or women-founded startup $25,000 to get their business off the ground.
Cham has become a well-known tech investor, who has made significant investments in Maker Studios, Lyft, Cruise, Ring, and others.
E-40 has also made smart decisions with earnings from his rap career being parlayed into his ultra-successful Earl Stevens Wine collection, as well as investments in Ring, and the legalized Cannabis industry.
The pair hope to find a start-up helmed by a woman or a minority to fund in a quest to address the lack of diversity in the technology industry.
“I hope that we can start bringing more awareness to the minority and women founded startups working to build products that make our lives better," Chamillionaire told AllHipHop.com. "I hope we can start encouraging more people in the investment community to invest in founders from demographics that would typically be nontraditional for them," he added.
In order to enter the contest, fans must download Chamillionaire's latest App Convoz.
Entry deadline for all investment pitches is June 15. The winner will is slated to be announced on June 21.
