Chance The Rapper Debuts Short Film 'Mr. Happy' At SXSW (VIDEO)

THE CHICAGO SPITTER MADE HIS ACTING DEBUT

At this year's South by Southwest music festival, Chance the Rapper made his acting debut in the Colin Tiley-directed short film, Mr. Happy. 

In the film, Chance plays Victor, a depressed young man who has been trying to kill himself. After unsuccessful attempts, he takes to the internet to ask "why can't I kill myself?" He then comes across a site that claims it can people in their suicidal quests. After paying a large fee for the services, he meets a young lady who brings some sunshine into his dark world.
