(AllHipHop News) Chance the Rapper is launching the Twilight Awards to honor academics for their outstanding contribution to the education system.
The No Problem rapper announced the news at his SocialWorks summit, and said the Twilight Awards will honor "teachers, parents, principals, and students that convey leadership".
Chance also revealed that James Corden will preside over the first event, which will take place in June 2018.
Chance, real name Chancelor Bennett, has become heavily involved in his local community in recent months, after announcing plans that his charity would donate $1 million to Chicago Public Schools officials, after a disappointing meeting with Illinois governor Bruce Rauner about the state's education funding.
Chance previously revealed that 20 local public schools would receive $2.2 million in donations from his New Chance Fund, which raises cash for arts education.
