Chance The Rapper Puts Up $1 Million For Chicago Public Schools; Disappointed By Illinois’ Governor

Chance the Rapper is keeping his pledge to the Chicago Public School system, with a generous, seven-figure donation.

(AllHipHop News) The rapper held a press conference earlier today (March 6), and declared he was donating $1 million to help fund the Chicago Public School system.

“While I’m frustrated and disappointed in the Governor’s inaction, that will not stop me from doing all I can to support Chicago’s most valuable resource: its children,” Chance said during an Instagram live session from Westcott Elementary School.

Chance is also urging corporations to match his donation, to help put a dent in the $215 million that will be needed for the next two years.
