Chance The Rapper Rejects Getting An "Endorsement" From Terry Crews

Twitter had a field day after Chano backed Kanye West being the next President of the United States.

(AllHipHop News) As the 2020 presidential race heats up, debates about the candidates are also becoming a hot topic in Hip Hop. Apparently, being on the same ideological side with America's Got Talent host Terry Crews was too far for Chance The Rapper.

Chance suggested Kanye West uploading a video about his late mother was enough to garner support to be the next President of the United States over Democratic former Vice President Joe Biden. The response to that message was overwhelmingly negative.

Numerous Twitter users pointed out to Chance that Kanye West has no political experience to be POTUS. He was also hit with countless tweets about how Ye did not even file the necessary paperwork to be on the ballot in November, how he has yet to share any serious policy proposals, and how the Yeezy boss was a longtime supporter of Donald Trump.

It was a Terry Crews tweet that seemed to have the most impact on Chance walking back his stance about West possibly being the next Commander in Chief. For weeks, Crews has been called an "Uncle Tom" and a "coon" after he repeatedly tried to equate the #BlackLivesMatter movement to African-Americans wanting to be superior to other races.

As Chance was facing a barrage of criticism on Twitter, Crews jumped into the conversation. In a since-deleted tweet, the White Chicks actor wrote, “@chancetherapper is just doing the math, and seeing a lot of things that don’t add up. This is what happens when you think for yourself."

Chance then simply replied, "F*CK 😓😓" along with a gif of Denzel Washington as Malcolm X slamming his own hand on a table. The Big Day album creator returned to Twitter to further distance himself from Crews.

"Ok sprinting down the hill now: I understand the improbability of Ye winning the 46th Presidential seat and I understand that everyone voting for Biden isn’t necessarily doing so enthusiastically. I am for [Black] liberation and do not accept my recent endorsement from Terry Crews," tweeted Chance.

In response, Crews offered, "Never endorsed you bro." Meanwhile, other people on the social media platform took Chance to task for finding himself aligned with a man that has spent weeks wrongfully warning America that nationwide #BLM activists calling for the end of police violence and systemic racism were somehow a front for an anti-White movement.

If we interpret BLM as an advocacy group that is against police brutality and systemic racism...when will there be a group that stands up for the senseless killing of young black male and females at the hands of gang violence?

Terry Crews was vilified for wanting to see the same fight that BLM is bringing to police brutality to also protect young black children from senseless violence and being killed.

The community wanted police out screaming how they'll self-govern but where's it at? How many children under the age of 14 have been killed in the last 3 weeks? People are now saying that black-on-black crime isn't a real thing that that we don't hear about white-on-white crime or asian-on-asian crime even though you have white people who commit violence against other white people...true, but show me these white and asian communities where we see the same rate of violence within those same groups as we've seen in NYC and Chicago the last 3 weeks. It's also not within the last 3 weeks it's become a problem...it's decades old but nope, whitey and the police are the problem...good, they've now washed their hands of it and are leaving communities to themselves - good luck with that, it's started off with such great success. Maybe Communism and Socialism with be the saving grace...

Dude I see you are falling for the same bs.We don't mind having cops do their jobs but don't want them to get away with murders. When some stupid gangbanger kills another one he should be arrested and prosecuted but that don't change the fact that some cops are murderers just like those gangsters..They have to shoot an unarmed guy at a traffic stop to do their job?If you are that afraid get a new job..And blacks March alot in Chi on gang violence but it don't get covered..dont fall for it My niece husband is a cop and he gets called the n word from other cops..Some cops are good but we can't ignore the bad ones because of Black on Black crime..If it continues to go unchecked it will get worse..

Would you say what about Aids when ppl are trying to cure cancer? My problem with Terry Cruise is why he chose to bring up Black violence now?Its nothing new like you said yourself..

AIDS and cancer get fairly equal attention by laboratories with strong organizations that work together towards fighting towards a cure...however, we can't say the same for police brutality and gang violence. And, I'm not falling for anything - the point is that one shouldn't suffer for the sake of other. We can't sit by watching children being killed from senseless violence and saying "I know that sucks and we don't like it, but one thing at a time"
