Chance The Rapper Says He's "Ashamed" Of His Friends Accused Of Sexual Assault

The rap star's close associates are caught up in a scandal of their own in Chicago.

(AllHipHop News) Chance the Rapper is doing damage control after several members of his extended crew were called out for sexual abuse.

Shortly after the "Surviving R. Kelly" documentary aired on Lifetime, Chance was caught up in a controversy for his statement about "didn’t value the accusers’ stories because they were black women."

Several women in Chicago took issue with Chance's statements and put him on blast for associating with men who had sketchy backgrounds.

His frequent collaborator Towkio was forced to issue a statement after a woman made some startling sexual assault allegations about the rapper.

Towkio eventually an apology, but he also maintained his innocence.

Chance seems to be cutting ties with some of his SaveMoney crew members in a statement he released on Twitter.

"In the past 2 days I’ve heard too many stories of domestic abuse, sexual violence and rape perpetrated by ppl I called friends. I am ashamed of yall. These stories will be amplified and your victims will receive the justice they deserve," the rapper tweeted.
