(AllHipHop News) The 2019 VMAs will feature a massive Hip-Hop ending with New Jersey natives Queen Latifah, Naughty by Nature, Redman, Fetty Wap and Wyclef Jean.
All of these luminaries have massive hits, credibility and musical cache that expands beyond the borders of New Jersey. However, since the show is live from the Prudential Center in downtown Newark, NJ this is a fitting performance for the inaugural show at the massive stadium.
The details of the ensemble have yet to be revealed, but fans will find out tomorrow evening with the VMAs broadcast live. Doitall, a rapper from The Lords Of The Underground, will join Redman for his part in the performance, we found out.
Missy Elliot will take home the coveted Michael Jackson Vanguard Award, an honor that acknowledges innovation and impact in music and film. Oddly, the iconic rapper is the first woman rapper to receive this distinction from MTV.
The 36th annual VMAs broadcast on MTV Monday, August 26 at 8 p.m. EST/PST.
