(AllHipHop News) Both Childish Gambino and Cardi B scored historic victories at the 2019 Grammy Awards. Gambino became the first Hip Hop artist to win Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year ("This Is America"), and Cardi became the first solo female rapper to win Best Rap Album (Invasion of Privacy).
The press generated from the Grammys has apparently piqued people's interest in seeing Gambino and Cardi live in concert. According to the independent ticket company Vivid Seats, the two superstars gained immediate spikes in demand for their shows.
Childish Gambino saw a 340% increase on his Vivid Seats artist ticket page. Cardi B's Vivid Seats traffic jumped 154%. Album Of The Year winner Kasey Musgraves (107%) and Best New Artist winner Dua Lipa (95%) received noticeable boosts as well.
Acts that appear on the telecast typically experience a "Grammy Bump." Projects by Cardi B, Kasey Musgraves, H.E.R., Post Malone, Janelle Monáe, Brandi Carlile, and others reportedly climbed up the iTunes Albums Chart following “Music’s Biggest Night."
