(AllHipHop News) The once long-standing feud between Chris Brown and Drake officially ended earlier this year as the two superstars finally settled their differences. Part of the reconciliation took place at the ESPY Awards when Breezy appeared in a skit with Drizzy.
Brown spoke with MTV's Sway about squashing his beef with Drake. The "Loyal" singer explained why it was time to move on from the drama.
“Especially after getting out of jail, going through whatever I was going through, I didn’t have any animosity towards anybody," said Brown. "I'm just focused on me and what I was doing."
After several reported fights and the attack on then girlfriend Rihanna, Brown is looking to change his behavior and his image.
"I'm 25. I'm not getting no younger," he adds. "You can't walk around holding grudges, looking over your shoulder, and being negative all the time. I'm tired of being looked at as the aggressor. For me, I just wanted to show my maturity."
Chris Brown's X is scheduled for release September 16th.
