Common has reached out to his Mexican fans following a deadly earthquake in Mexico.

(AllHipHop News) COMMON and KERRY WASHINGTON have become the first stars to offer their thoughts to fans and friends in Mexico after a 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck the central state of Puebla on Tuesday (19Sep17).

The quake destroyed several buildings and so far has cost dozens of people their lives, with the fatalities sure to rise.

It was felt in Mexico City 75 miles (120.7 kilometers) away from the epicenter.

Washington hit Twitter minutes after the latest disaster news broke, writing: "Thoughts and prayers for #MexicoCity", while rapper and actor Common added: "Mexico City was hit with a magnitude 7.1 earthquake today. My thoughts + prayers are with the people of Mexico."

Antonio Banderas, Ken Jeong, LaToya Jackson, Jon Cryer, and Emile Hersh were also quick to respond to the news.

The quake comes less than two weeks after Mexico City was rocked by another powerful earthquake on September 7.
